2010 Annual Meeting Minutes

On November 10, 2010, the homeowners of the Applewood Homes Association met in the multipurpose room of Briarwood Elementary School. Members from 10 homes were represented at the meeting. No other  homes were represented by proxy. President, Clint Myers called the meeting to order and welcomed the group to our 2010 annual meeting.

OLD BUSINESS
Secretary, Dan Bentzinger read the minutes to the previous meeting. With a motion and second from the floor, the report from the Secretary was approved as read.

Treasurer, Kirsten Tracy reviewed the treasurer’s report including detailed cash flow statements and expenditure receipts from the previous two years. These documents were made available for all to review and  discuss. With a motion from the floor, the report from the treasurer was approved.

President Clint Myers reviewed many of the recent accomplishments of the board including snow and ice  removal after a particularly heavy snow storm. We also held a neighborhood picnic where an Applewood resident provided excellent entertainment.

Treasurer, Kirsten Tracy put forth a budget proposal for the upcoming fiscal year. An open discussion was held on various line items. The budget plan for the upcoming year was approved by the homeowners in attendance. The financial documents are included within this document.

NEW BUSINESS
We held a discussion about the challenges associated with our P.O. Box at the USPS. It was decided to move our P.O. Box to mitigate the risk of future issues. The new P.O. Box number is listed below.

As a reminder, please have all external modifications to your home approved by our Architectural Committee. Please send a request for approval regarding your major external home projects  to:

The final order of business was the election for the Board of Directors.  Without a quorum of homeowners in attendance or voting by proxy, the existing board members agreed to serve another term.

Several homeowners also acknowledged and thanked Daniel Schimpfoessl for his service to the Applewood Homes Association Board of Directors. We are grateful for the donation of time and energy to our community. Thank you Daniel!
